About the Region II STD TAC

The goal of the Region II STDRHPTTAC is to improve the quality of sexual and reproductive health services provided to adolescents and young adults, and men who have sex with men (MSM). The Center will provide specialized Technical Assistance and Training (TTA) designed to strengthen and improve the capacity of state, local, territorial, and tribal STD and FP programs in three areas:

1) Collection and utilization of prevalence monitoring data to improve STD-related community outcomes
2) Implementation and enhancement of systems to bill and reimburse for STD-related services to support program sustainability
3) Application of best practices in the delivery of high quality STD and STD-related reproductive health services

With funds awarded from the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Office of Population Affairs (OPA) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to serve as the Sexually Transmitted Disease-Related Reproductive Health Prevention Training and Technical Assistance Center (STDRHPTTAC) for Region II, this project will build on the work CAI has performed for over 17 years as the Administrator for the Infrastructure Region II Infertility Prevention Project (IPP).
